Time! It’s the one thing we want more of as readers! More time to read the books we want, to read the books people have recommended to us or just to try out new genres. So, with this in mind I wanted to create a tag I’ve dubbed the Time Bubble Tag.
Picture this, you’ve encountered a bubble or portal which, if you step through, can manipulate the time inside. With this, you can read all the books you want and when you step out of the bubble, no time has passed in the real world. You can finally make time for all those books you’ve been ignoring. So, now that you’ve stepped through the time bubble, answer the following questions:
- What Book(s) (or audiobook) have you been meaning to read for a long time but haven’t gotten around to reading:
Howl’s Moving Castle. It has been on my tbr ever since I opened Goodreads (around 2012).
- A book you’ve been meaning to reread but haven’t:
Pride and Prejudice; the Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson just for the nostalgia of revisiting characters I grew attached to.
- A book from a genre you don’t normally read but have been meaning to try and give it a chance:
I never read non-fiction or biographies but I have made some exceptions. The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson is one exception I’ve been meaning to make. I had read another book by the author, In the Garden of Beasts, and I liked it somewhat. The premise for this one is interesting.
- A series you’ve been wanting to read but haven’t because of how long it is.
The Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson. The books seem interesting and I’ve heard nothing but good things but…10 books! I’m currently committed to finishing the Wheel of Time which is 14 books so I’m very apprehensive about starting a series this long.
- A book you wish you could go back in time and read for the first time.
Again, the Final Empire and maybe a cliched answer but Harry Potter. Although I’m not sure it might have the same effect compared to when I read it when I was younger.
- Book recommendation you’ve been putting off.
The Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson only because I want to read Sanderson’s previous books before starting this one! Also, the Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch.
Not sure there is a similar tag; if there is forgive me. Still, if you’re reading this consider yourself tagged. I would love to see people’s answers so if you post the tag let me know.
If anyone doesn’t want to do the tag, don’t feel obligated to do so! Haha!
For those who miss the post, I’ll be letting everyone know I’ve tagged them.
